Hollow Shell XL

This bead is stunning... and a bit complicated to make. It basically is a hollow bead of molten glass, wrapped with more molten glass, keeping the hollow center intact. At just the right moment in the flame, the bead is pierced to reveal the inside layer of glass... and iridescent bit that reminds you a critter calls these gorgeous shells home.

This is gorgeous hung on a chain OR you could wire wrap it with a pearl hanging inside. Please click the photos to get sense of the size and scope of this girl!

Urchin - Solid

Large Focal Bead - Sea Urchin. This bead is not hollow so it is fairly heavy. It's gray base gives off an amazing iridescence. Moody raku stripes topped with a rich caramel dot pattern. One bead. $29.99

Wrapped Swimming Koi Joy

After rmaking my first pass at the Koi beads, my customer wanted them to look like they were swimming. That meant re-orienting the mandrel. I made two and wire wrapped them with 18g. sterling. This is the one that still needs a home.

Sea Dreams

More under the sea goodies. This XL raku seahorse, trimmed in lavender is my very first! And I have to say, one of my favorities. I love the texture of his tail, his fat belly and his perfect little nose! He is a major large focal!

With him is a matching fish, an octopus sitting on a raku bead with her big red lips, two etched sand dollars, a shell and one little raku round. A nice set all around.
